24 Frames Segment: Texas Movie Posters
By Paul Hunton
This story was a joy to work on. Dirk Fowler is a professor of graphic design at Texas Tech University, but he is also a fantastic poster artist. He has a real passion for not only the art work but for the music too. I thought a perfect choice of music was The Avett Bros. The Once and Future Carpenter. The opening line "I'm not from Texas but I made my way from Dallas..." was a perfect way to start this piece and it continues organically bouncing between the art and the music. I loved the final fade out over Willy Nelson. Just a quick story about an art exhibit tied to the perfect song. Enjoy!
