Just in a days work

      Recently a group of us went to the lake to shoot the first "Best of Keeping it Local and Locally Owned" segments.  It was my first time going to Buffalo Springs and was pleasantly surprised at what it had to offer.  It being so close to Lubbock, I figured less green...more dirt. But it was just right with camping areas shaded by trees overlooking different areas of the lake both small and large. Of course Sophia and I had to get a quick snapshot in in between tapings.

Robert Downey Jr. has one of the most inspirational comeback stories of all time. With "The Avengers" he added the cherry to his otherwise stellar phoenix-like reemergence. These new Sherlock films are also a big part of it. This one does not disappoint.

Taking a leap of faith for Camp Lead

My heart was beating so loud I could hear it rattling in my ears. I’m not sure if I was breathing hard because of the moderate physical activity, or if the jitters were causing me to hyperventilate.  By the time I climbed my way up the 40 foot power pole to attempt a leap of faith, I was just repeating one silent wish in my head; “I hope I don’t fall.” Standing up on that little platform while the pole is shaking beneath you is way harder than it looks…but I found a way to balance myself and I slowly lifted into a stance.
