Recently a group of us went to the lake to shoot the first "Best of Keeping it Local and Locally Owned" segments. It was my first time going to Buffalo Springs and was pleasantly surprised at what it had to offer. It being so close to Lubbock, I figured less green...more dirt. But it was just right with camping areas shaded by trees overlooking different areas of the lake both small and large. Of course Sophia and I had to get a quick snapshot in in between tapings.
Channel 5 was out at the Cinco de Mayo Festival at the Fairgrounds and it was TONS of FUN! It was nice to see everyone and talk with them about the festivities. Did I mention the food was amazing? I look forward to doing more booths and festivals and really getting out in the community and talking with our current and future viewers!
Happy New Year Channel 5 viewers! I hope all your holidays went well. I had the opportunity to spend my holiday with my entire immediate family in Albuquerque, NM. The trip went well except for getting stuck in Santa Rosa for about a day and a half due to that snow storm that hit right before Christmas. But, I survived and got to see my parents, 3 sisters, 2 brother-in-laws, and nieces and nephew. With 2012 here I’m looking forward to everything that the new year has to offer! I have to get back in the groove of things and hit the equipment hard to bring you more fun and local stories!
Last night couldn’t have gone any more smoothly! Right when I walked in (fashionably late that is) the twenties music was playing, the women were wearing feathered headbands and some men had on a twenties fedoras. The food was amazing! The dessert was delicious! And hats off to Paul Hunton for putting together our highlight reel! It was such a different experience watching it in the LHUCA’s movie theater.
